Cannabinoids For Sleep – Everything You Need To Know
There are some people who are sensitive to CBD and when they consume a pure CBD gummy, it helps them sleep. Some of our clients will state the Gummies are more relaxing than the CBD oils for them. High doses of CBD/CBG oils appear to be better for pain and less sedating for most people again, unless you are sensitive to CBD. This is likely due to the modulatory effects with the molecule going through the liver as the edibles are different that oils with the way they are absorbed.
CBD For Sleep Dosing
We always suggest starting low as there is no reason to use more than needed. If you are not getting any sleep benefits from your CBD product, then begin with ¼ dropper of our REM Formula under the tongue 30 minutes before bed. If the ¼ doesn’t help you must increase by ¼ dropper until the desired relaxing effect is achieved. Increase the same night or the next evening and be consistent. For any clients that are sourcing Cannabis based THC – delta 9 remember, we have nothing against THC, but it does “build up” in the brain, so it is very important to take tolerance breaks every 6 months or so to allow the molecule to clear out of the neurological field.
Too much THC can overload the CB1 receptor and begin to cause neuroinflammation so it will change the way it works and how you feel. Take a 2-3 week break and then go back to THC if necessary. (THC has no anti-inflammatory benefits)
